Glacier Greenhouse
Passive solar greenhouses are designed for energy efficiency in winter by concentrating glazing and windows on the south side of the greenhouse and insulating the ceiling and wall on the north side. This captures maximum light and heat from the sun and ideally stores the heat in a thermal mass, either in the ground or in an above ground solution such as water barrels. The insulated portion of the roof also provides summer shade to help keep the greenhouse from overheating. Our optional underground heat exchange system pulls warm air from the interior of the greenhouse when it gets too hot, stores the heat beneath the greenhouse, then pumps it back up to keep the temperature steady when the sun sets. These passive solar features are also available as upgrades on our New England and Homestead greenhouse models.

Homestead Greenhouse
A Homestead greenhouse gives you a large controlled space to grow plants year-round. Choose from two styles—the Homestead Berkshire and Homestead Hampshire—each designed to complement your home and backyard. These backyard greenhouses are built like our Homestead sheds with features like 8-inch roof overhangs and 2×6 rafters, and can be upgraded with passive solar heating.

A New England greenhouse makes it easy to grow plants year-round, even in cold weather.
